Invisible Walls: Barriers we don't see but wildlife can't ignore
Marina Mulligan
(Conservation Biologist/Biodiversity Specialist)
Habitat fragmentation is often associated with obvious physical barriers such as roads, buildings and urban development. However, many of the most significant contributors are invisible. This talk explores the hidden forms of disruption like noise, artificial light and human disturbance that can alter the way wildlife move, communicate and behave. It reveals how even seemingly connected landscapes can become fragmented from the perspective of wildlife
The Science of Harmony
Risteárd Ó hAodha
(An Experimental Musician and Composer )
Music is often called a universal language and indeed there are certain harmonic properties that seem to be universally liked across cultures and the world. This is no coincidence, harmony is governed by the interaction of different sound frequencies. In this talk we will look at how certain frequencies create different harmonic qualities and why, along with some musical examples.
Origins of GMP
Patricia Mchale
(Analytical Technology Biologics Supervisor)
Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) began with a basic but powerful idea: that every product should be made with care, consistency, and integrity. Born from the need to protect people from harm and ensure quality at every step, GMP grew into a global standard that reflects trust, discipline, and responsibility. It reminds us that behind every process is a patient, a consumer, or a community relying on us to get it right. GMP is more than a set of rules — it is a commitment to excellence, to safety, and to the belief that quality is never an accident, but the result of purpose and accountability.
