We look at small pieces of DNA left by cancer cells in the blood, to understand how the treatment is working and to identify sooner whether the cancer is returning.

Tá sé ráite ag an WHO go bhfuil forbairtí nua de dhíth chun géarchéim dhomhanda i mbainistíocht ionfhabhtaithe a sheachaint sula mbíonn 2050 ann. Fiú gur orgánaigh aoncheallacha iad na mícróbanna, tagann siad le chéile ag leibhéal an daonra trí córas cumarsáide ceimiceach, ag cruthú fadhbanna fad-téarmach, go h-áirithe i gcás Galar Riospráide Ainsealach. Más féidir linn tuiscint níos fearr a fháil ar an córas cumarsáide seo, b'fhédir gur Achilles' Heel é?
The shortage of antibiotics and the rise in antibiotic resistance have long been a significant challenge. The WHO has said that new developments are needed to avert a global crisis in infection management by 2050. Although microbes are single-celled organisms, they come together at the population level through a system of chemical communication, causing long-term problems, particularly in the case of Chronic Respiratory Disease. If we can better understand this communication system, could it be their Achilles' Heel?

Surf2Heal is a voluntary camp based in Cork that gives people with autism the opportunity to take part in activities in the sea. This research examines the impact that the camp has on the social behaviour of the surfers.
